About Our Tryouts

Our tryouts are designed to provide players with a professional, organized, and development-focused evaluation experience. Players will be evaluated by our coaching staff across multiple areas including athleticism, baseball fundamentals, competitiveness, and overall projectability.

To ensure we can properly staff and structure each session, all tryout registrations require a small reservation fee of $25.

Tryout Reservation fee

This fee is not intended as a profit center. Its purpose is to:

Improve attendance accuracy
Allow proper coach/staff scheduling
Maintain strong player-to-coach evaluation ratios
Create the best possible tryout experience for all players
Fee Credit
Players who accept a roster spot with Canes Illinois will have the $25 fee credited toward their season tuition.

Private Tryouts

Private tryouts are available immediately upon request for players interested in being evaluated prior to our official tryout dates.

Private evaluations allow our staff to:

• Spend additional one-on-one time with players
• Evaluate players in a smaller setting
• Provide flexibility for summer schedules and conflicts

Players registering for a private tryout will be contacted directly by a member of our coaching staff to coordinate a personalized evaluation date, time, and location.
